Stock thicknesses don't always match the plans. We cut EPS on a CNC hot-wire machine in American Fork, so you get the thickness you need without shimming or stacking.
Tell us the thickness, the sheet size (full 4x8 or cut down) and the count. We'll quote it and cut it.
EPS or XPS?
EPS vs XPS, in plain words
Both are rigid polystyrene foam board, and we carry both. The difference is how the board is formed.
EPS
Expanded polystyrene
White bead foam, molded in big blocks and cut into sheets. Easy to cut to any thickness or shape, and sold in 1 lb and 2 lb. It's what most people picture when they say Styrofoam.
XPS
Extruded polystyrene
Formed as one continuous board with a smooth skin and a color. Sold in standard sheets, and we cut it to size.

How much foam board do I need?
One 4x8 sheet covers 32 square feet. Here's the quick way to count sheets.
Measure the area
Length times height for walls. Length times width for floors and slabs. Add up every surface.
Subtract openings
Take out big doors, garage doors and windows. Leave the small ones in; that's your waste allowance.
Divide by 32
Square feet divided by 32 gives the sheet count. Round up, and add a few sheets for cuts.
Example: a 24 ft by 24 ft garage with 8 ft walls has 768 sq ft of wall. Take out a 16 by 7 ft garage door (112 sq ft) and you have 656 sq ft. 656 divided by 32 is 20.5, so about 21 sheets, plus 2 or 3 spares.

What sizes and thicknesses of foam board do you have?
We carry 4x8 EPS foam sheets in 1 lb and 2 lb, from 1/2 inch thick and up. We also cut sheets to custom thicknesses and sizes, and we sell full EPS blocks. XPS foam board is available too, cut to size.
Can you cut foam board to a custom thickness?

What is the difference between EPS and XPS foam board?
Both are rigid polystyrene foam board. EPS (expanded polystyrene) is white bead foam, the same kind of foam people often call Styrofoam. XPS (extruded polystyrene) is made as one continuous board with a smooth skin and comes in a color. Which one fits depends on where it goes and what your plans call for. Tell us the job and we'll help you pick.
What does 1 lb or 2 lb EPS mean?
It's the density label for EPS foam: roughly how much one cubic foot of the foam weighs. 1 lb EPS is the lighter, everyday board. 2 lb EPS is a denser board. Your plans, engineer or builder may call for one. If you're not sure, tell us the job and we'll help.
How much foam board do I need?
Measure the area you want to cover in square feet (length times height for a wall, length times width for a floor or slab). Subtract big openings like doors and garage doors, then divide by 32, since one 4x8 sheet covers 32 square feet. Add a few extra sheets for cuts and waste. Send us your measurements or plans and we'll check the count with you.
Can I use foam board under a concrete slab or on basement walls?
Yes. Rigid foam board is often used under slabs, at slab edges and on basement and crawl space walls. Your plans or local building department set the type and thickness. We cut the board to match, and we can cut under-slab board to your slab layout.
Do you sell foam board in bulk to contractors?
Yes. We supply builders and contractors with sheets, cut pieces and full blocks for single jobs and repeat orders, and we save your cut files for next time. Bulk loads can be delivered to the job site, quoted per job.
